F3lt Friday

My, my what a crazy couple of weeks.

The Two Elephants crew has been hard at work getting our store ready for it's Grand Opening (We are expecting to open sometime in late March). Walls have come down, new lighting is being installed, a crisp coat of paint is on the walls, new vendors are being discovered and our spirits are through the roof. The level of excitement and stress is high, but we are so thrilled at this opportunity to open a store all our own, filled with beautiful, unique handmade items. We'll make sure to keep you updated on the Shop's progress.

With all the changes taking place, the blogging sorta, kinda got put on the back burner. But it's back on track with this new installment for FELT FRIDAY.

Since florals are all the rage this season and Spring just around the corner, this is a colorful way to brighten up a piece of clothing. This Mi Susu tutorial is such a great idea to change up an old and/or plain sweater. So get crafty, and enjoy the start of your weekend.  :)

I'm almost positive you won't be walking down the street and see anyone else with one of these cool headbands. So try one of these DIY's and add a little felt to your weekend wardrobe.

Unconventional Hearts

At this time of year it seems like hearts are everywhere. Here are some cute ideas to incorporate hearts into your home, fun, food, and wardrobe using items in unique ways.

Domestically Speaking hits the nail on the head. The juxtaposition of the sweet shape with the raw materials makes for a beautiful piece of art.

How darling is this? Writing Chapter Three sure knows how to brighten our day.

I would love to open my lunch box and find this cute confection. Sugar & Cloth makes food seem extra yummy.

Trinkets in Bloom has provided the perfect DIY for those not so fond of the traditional hearts.

One word: CUTE. Lets go fly a kite! My Poppet makes me want to run around in the grass barefoot and be a kid again.

P.S- We know we have been posting more inspiration than originals, but have no fear! They are coming soon and are pretty cute if we do say so ourselves. :)

First Felt Friday!!!

Friday is finally here!

In order to celebrate every Friday, we'd like to start a weekly series in which Two Elephants will post a project using the under utilized medium.....*wait for it*..... FELT. Hopefully you will give the projects a try at home. If not, we'd like to think these posts will inspire you to try a new crafting material and challenge yourself to see past it's conventional uses.

This week, our project is provided by Lindsay from the blog Pen and Paint . This is a lovely craft for everyone, from beginners to full on Craft Masters. It's also a great rainy day or babysitting project that will keep little ones occupied (just make sure to keep an eye on little hands and the hot glue gun). Happy Crafting!
